Empathic shock
Empathic shock is caused by a variety of skills which harm life. These include but are not limited to attacking a creature, casting harmful magic at a creature, and fishing. When you are afflicted with empathic shock you will no longer be able to take wounds, manipulate creatures, cast nissa's binding, shift, or link. Other empath's can take a portion of the shock to reduce the amount of time you are affected by it, but they will also then be affected by empathic shock.
Empathic shock is soon going to be rewritten to allow empaths to work down the stun to either elimination or to a highly-neglible concern. Empaths will also no longer immediately lose all their empathy-related abilities, instead losing their ability effectiveness until each of them reach a zero-point (ie, a shocked empath will still be able to take wounds, manipulate, cast nissa's binding, shift, and link).
