You see Gardener Claribel Camden, Healer of Kaerna Village, an Elven Empath.
She has a round face, a pair of tiny smoky diamond fox blossom studs piercing both pointed ears, kind speckled seafoam-green eyes, a dainty dawns-eye daisy nose stud piercing one side of a freckled nose and dimples. Her sunflower blonde hair is long and wavy, and is worn braided and deftly woven with a diacan haedor. She has tawny skin and a coltish figure.
She is surprisingly tall for an Elf.

She is wearing a rich brown cashmere scarf bundled around the neck, a delicate pendant of intertwined acenite and sungold curled around a brilliant yellow heliodor, a tailored jacket of finely woven oxblood westan wool, a fragile cream-colored cotton blouse with a gently ruffed collar, a string sweetheart's token band of treasureweave with a solitary sungold bead, some rich chestnut brown slacks tailored with a narrow fit and a pair of oxblood leather loafers polished to a muted sheen.

Brief Summary

Claribel was raised by her adoptive mothers Saira and Jaya, and grew up on a sprawling farm tucked away in a valley to the north. While an inexact date, it is presumed she was born sometime in the summer months of 404, and they've always celebrated her birthday as such. She left the farm, traveled south, and officially joined the Empath Guild in the spring of 437. Not long after joining the guild she met another young Elf, the squire Elurora. The two became fast friends, and whenever Claire is called back home they continue their communication via lengthy multi-page letters. In the case of Claire, these letters are sent to Elu with tins of iced ginger or shortbread cookies, the baked goods often cut into fanciful (and lopsided) shapes that relate to whatever was written about that week. Currently she resides in a small rented cottage in Kaerna on High Street where she maintains a tidy vegetable garden and attempts to raise bees.

Memorable Moments

- Usually goes by Claire, though Elurora gave her the nickname "Bel" and it stuck.
- Dreams of going on a long sea voyage. Or even a short one. Honestly, she'd just like to go sailing on a big boat.
- Bakes, gifts, and consumes a lot of cookies.
- Has an adorable orange tabby kitten. Her name is Saffron, and she's kind of mean.
- Rescued a runt-sized Kaernan boar from her garden. His name is Carrots, and he's really sweet.
- Loves to knit. Especially enjoys knitting different "scarfollars" and vests for Elu's dog Dog.
- Stood as Esusta's Oath Keeper when they were made a Squire, even though she's still confused as to what that all meant.
- Most likely to bring packed lunches to a daring rescue because someone is bound to be hungry.
- Devoted to Berengaria and Tamsine. Knows a lot of random cow and cat facts. Which she will share with folks whether they want her to or not.
- Isn't looking for adventure, but her curiosity will likely lead her there. Or Elurora. Maybe her curiosity is named Elu?
- Was cast in the role of the Mermaid in Allye's play "The Little Lobster" for TART.
- Became Elurora's sweetheart in the autumn of 439 (after ruining Elu's carefully laid out plans).

Knitted Niceties

a heavy wool blanket knit from a sea of blue yarn

Thick and fluffy with a delightfully squishy bounce when squeezed, this enormous blanket is perfect for curling up beneath for a cozy nap. Myriad blue yarns meld into a peaceful aqueous hue, the subtle shifts in color reminiscent of ripples gliding through a sky-reflected expanse of water. Here and there are small flecks of pink and white wool, the soft points of color poised like flower petals caught upon the blanket's plush surface.

This blanket was knitted as a gift for Elurora after she bravely protected Claribel during an assault on Rossman's Chapel during a Berengaria appreciation event.

a lacy off-the-shoulder dress knit from soft eolienne tinted bellflower-blue

Delicate and lightweight, the exquisitely silky wool comprising this short garment retains breathability that makes it suitable for wear even in warmer climates. Skillfully crafted, the long-sleeved dress displays many different techniques, from the lace-like stitching along its wide neckline to the slim cabling that creates a pleat-like effect at the empire waist and gives the abbreviated skirt a gentle flare. Slight variations in the beautifully dyed wool give it a soft, dappled appearance.

Elurora's Graduation Gift, begun knitting in the spring and then presented to Elu at her Squire's Graduation party, Autumn of 439.

a noble magnolia-white stuffed dog garbed in a suit of small armor

Fluffy and soft, the oversized plush toy is made to resemble a Kerspen mountain dog, complete with the breed's distinctive plumed tail. Soulful eyes dominate the pup's proud face. Encircling the neck is a thick leather collar, the band centered with a fake soulstone made of painted metal. The dog is dressed in a full set of armor, the gleaming silver marbled with hints of blue. Strapped to its back is a tiny tower shield decorated with a tree.

Designed as the party gift for Elurora's Squire's Graduation party, sponsored by the Tavern Troupe, Autumn of 439.

Altered Creations

a bright eddy of honeyed light cradled within hexagonal sungold mesh

Aureate threads of scintillating metal weave together to create a complex honeycomb pattern that envelopes an ever shifting pool of light. The viscous luminescence glistens with rich amber highlights, heightening its resemblance to sunlight reflected through a jar of warm honey. Tiny wirework bees cling to the gilded wires, their chunky bodies and delicate wings fashioned from various types of gold, the resulting range of soft pastel hues mirrored in the netting's shimmering sunrise-inspired splendor.

a robust farmer's almanac bound in pebbled corbeau hide

Smoothed flat in places by frequent handling, the textured leather's subtle viridescence is all but rubbed away to faded black. Held within the pages of this comprehensive reference book is practical advice on all manner of things, from seasonal gardening to recipes to astrological observations, often accompanied by sketches and detailed charts. Added notations are scribbled in the margins, and scraps of paper covered in idle musings and figures are tucked between many of the slightly yellowed pages.

a delicate pendant of intertwined acenite and sungold curled around a [gem]

Slender vines of scintillating metal come together in a playful tangle, the aurulent labyrinth glistening with soft sunrise shades of rose, bittersweet, bellflower and heliotrope. Dainty heart-shaped leaves burgeon forth from the clinging tendrils formed from a blend of sungold and acenite to impart a distinct variegated two-tone appearance. Clusters of pristine white jasmine dot the expanse of vine and greenery, the tiny blooms star-bright against the resplendent arcs of sungold. Set into the pendant is [a gem].

Elurora possesses the fragile twin to this pendant. Created and exchanged in 440.

The Ballads of BeeBee

Song Circle in the Garden, The First BeeBee tale!

Claribel rubs at the back of her neck and glances around at everyone.

Claribel says, "So this'll be a lot different than the previous story."

Claribel says, "This is just a story and I thought it up on account of Miss Elu mentioning that I should. So I did but I dunno how it'll do."

Claribel says, "I don't really sing a lot, well that's not exactly true. I sing along to stuff but I dunno how to turn my words into a song that'll make sense."

Claribel breathes in slightly.

Claribel says, "This is the story of a very busy bee by the name of BeeBee who was a worker in a very neat hive in the middle of a flower field."

Claribel says, "BeeBee worked all day and night, gathering up pollen and returning it to the hive where their siblings all did as working bees do."

Claribel says, "It was on one of the trips out into the fields that BeeBee got distracted by something on the horizon."

Claribel quickly says, "Busily buzzing BeeBee bumbled away, towards a distant sight."

Claribel says, "And what should our intrepid bee spy but a large garden that wasn't doing so well."

Claribel says, "Weeds had come in and taken over the place, and what few plants and sprouted looked very sad to the bee."

Claribel says, "Well, thought BeeBee, this simply won't do."

Claribel quickly says, "So they buzzed and they bumbled busily away, back to the hive three miles away."

Claribel says, "BeeBee approached their Queen, who was lounging on her throne, nibbling on jellied scones."

Claribel says, "Highness, said BeeBee, I've found someone in need of our help."

Claribel quickly says, "The Queen, still busy, and munching away, waved one leg and shooed BeeBee away."

Claribel says, "BeeBee made a very rude buzz, wings twitching a bit as they fled to their siblings."

Claribel exclaims, "Siblings of the hive, buzzed BeeBee, I need your help!"

Claribel says, "But they all ignored BeeBee, on account of being set in their tasks."

Claribel's shoulders bow as if under some great burden.

Claribel says, "So our lone bee flitted and flew from the hive, back towards that garden they'd encountered that day."

Claribel says, "I hafta help, thought our little busy bee, and BeeBee set to work inspecting the place."

Claribel says, "When dawn broke the bee was most tired and they flew down to land on a withered vine."

Claribel exclaims, "Oh you poor thing, came a soft voice, and a hulking giant appeared and gave BeeBee a fright!"

Claribel tries hard not to grin, but her dimples give her away.

Claribel says, "They buzzed a little in warning but it was all for naught as the giant scooped up the bee and held them in their large gloved hands."

Claribel asks, "I've got you some water with a little sugar innit, so you just sit here and rest. Have you been working all night?"

Claribel says, "The voice was quite soothing, BeeBee had to admit, and as the bee supped on sweet water the giant did persist."

Claribel asks, "I've thought of building a hive but I'll need to find a swarming Queen, perhaps wherever you came from would help?"

Claribel says, "BeeBee buzzed sadly at the towering giant as the figure bent down to peer at the bee with their massive face and weird pointy ears."

Claribel tugs on her ear.

Claribel says, "They knew their Queen wouldn't come this way but perhaps..."

Claribel says, "The bee flew up and landed gently on the giant's outstretched palm."

Claribel asks, "You can stay if you want, little bee, said the towering thing. Maybe we'll find you another new Queen?"

Claribel sits up a little straighter as she continues.

Claribel says, "And I can say, in all honesty, that BeeBee did stay."

Claribel says, "And there was a new Queen who came in on a swarm a week later."

Claribel leans forward.

Claribel says, "It's why my vegetable garden is so well cared for! It's all on account of my bees."

Claribel points at herself.

Claribel says, "... it wasn't a very good ending but it's the truth! And. And. And, uhm."

Claribel exclaims, "The bees were very busy indeed. The End!"
