The bulwarked token is commonly used to modify the appearance of a Moon Mage's shadow servant. Not being such a mage, you're fairly certain you couldn't activate such a device.

Were the bulwarked token to be activated, the following modifications to a servant would be made:

 Base Description: "a bulwarked Servant"
 Long Description: "a bulwarked Shadow Servant with plated arms and a shielded umbral form"
 LOOK Description: "Built with the massive proportions of a guardian, this oversized humanoid Shadow Servant is made of dense, overlapping plates of solid shadow.  Its arms are thick and rectangular, resembling heavy bracers, while its core is recessed behind a curved, rib-like cage of dark mesh.  Despite its defensive appearance, the Servant's movements are slow and non-threatening."

These are compatible with the scroll system for alterations. You must use this item as the base when you GET your scroll if you wish to have it altered.
