carved oak dowry chest adorned with beaten gold fittings
Look: The courtship of Hodierna is played out across its surface, richly detailed in bas-relief. Each side is intricately carved and painted to give life to the craftsman's art: Kertigen, his hammer raised over a glowing forge, the mighty Raven, wings outstretched, carrying a curling scroll in its claws, Hodierna, seated in her bower amid a bounty of spring flowers. Atop the curved lid, a unicorn and raven gaze upon the other. Between them stands the wedding cup from which each has pledged their troth.

There appears to be something written on it.
A dowry chest reads:
The scroll the raven carries reads "Two now as one beneath Kertigen's protective gaze. Hodierna's blessing a gift thee now share."
