Resulting from extended exposure to potently cursed creatures such as shadowfrost moths or elder adan'f, hexwood is not a unique species of tree but individual specimens forever altered by their proximity to dark magic. It is unknown what causes a tree to be susceptible to the transformation but the change is seemingly random, making the eerie-looking greyscale lumber rare and expensive.

Introduced at Droughtman's Challenge 450.

Common Description

With all visual characteristics of its original species obliterated, hexwood is always light grey with bold black grain.
