In the years since the banishment of Maelshyve, demonscale leather is rumored to have been experimented on by private sects for both philosophical and educational purposes. One result of such alleged testing is an alchemical solution that oxidizes the surface in a mesh-like pattern of pale silver or gold lines, creating a visual effect reminiscent of holy light holding back a looming void. Like the base material, demonsbane leather should not be dyed to avoid erasing its distinctive coloring and evidence of its dangerous origins. The process, performed only on demonscale, requires significant time to achieve a permanent result.

Introduced at Droughtman's Challenge 450.

Common Description

Naturally textured with large dark blue scales, demonsbane leather is covered with a network of silvery-white lines reminiscent of a shield of light holding back the midnight darkness. It should always be called demonsbane leather and not shortened the way demonscale can be.

Alteration Rules

This material is required for alterations.

Demonsbane leather is a separate material and therefore must be supplied as demonsbane leather, not demonscale.
