Lore
Named octopus in Asaran to honor its namesake's camouflaging versatility, the tveiret plant's colors are dependent on the mineral content of the clay it grows in. It grows in clumps along the muddy seabed of Segoltha Bay and is traditionally harvested by the Merelew. Used to wrap around raw fish in Merelew cuisine, tveiret leaves are now in use by land-dwellers. Crisp when roasted or dried, the leaves possess rich and savory notes that provide depth of flavor to broths.
