Area markers are items designed to be left behind, should a family or group wish to leave a mark upon an area. They don't convey any actual ownership or anything, it's just a fluff prop with a family name on it in the end. People can RP around it how they want.

Notes

  • Only the owner may place/remove the marker.
  • You must have a last name to use these items.
  • The marker must be RUBbed by the person with the last name to use. This is permanent, and cannot be changed. This allows the janitor to identify who to tag it for in the Lost & Found.
  • These items will not be replaced if lost. Area markers are protected as much as possible, but a badly timed crash or something unforeseen could cause them to be lost. Staff's general stance here is to not replace them. The owner must confirm they've been advised of this before placing it -- it's in the STUDY.
  • Only one can be placed in a room at a time, and will be automatically removed and delivered to Lost & Found after a certain number of days. If the owner is online, they'll be messaged. The same owner can place multiple markers in different rooms. These can be placed in normal provincial areas. They cannot be placed in Fang Cove, and most quest areas should also be blocked. Safe rooms, homes, vaults, and warded areas (that block locate/familiars) are also off limits.
  • TURN adjusts how others see your 'mark'. An alterer may add a custom TURN option at their discretion.
