Sigzil is an alterer specializing in foci, who first appeared during Hollow Eve Festival 436.
Appearance
You see Focuswright Sigzil Ranivast, Enlightened Artificer of the Novitiate, a Rakash Moon Mage.
Sigzil has an angular face with a sloping forehead, stretched ears with elaborate piercings, tilted dark eyes and a broad nose. He has cropped black hair compressed into a ripple-like pattern, with deep brown skin and a slight build.
He is unobtrusive for a Rakash.
He appears to be middle-aged.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a Siksrajan applewood staff heavily inlaid with cambrinth, an enveloping rantija of moonspun silk, an asymmetric goldweave odaj with intricate geometric embroidery, a narrow gold bracer engraved with the seal of the Lunar Accord and a dreamweave artificer's toolbelt fastened with a tursa varna.
Notes
Sigzil can create ritual foci; he doesn't create TM foci (although he can alter existing TM foci).
Sigzil says, "Good morning. I work on ritual and targeted magic foci."
Sigzil says, "I am working on existing TM foci only -- no new ones being created from scratch -- but I may be able to enchant other items into being realm-attuned (not universal) ritual foci if the item is not too complex."
Sigzil says, "The base price for my services is 50 plats plus 25 for any additional rare materials you'd like me to incorporate. (You must provide these materials. I'm not some common commodity dealer.)."
Sigzil says, "At this time, I am only making cosmetic changes to how foci look, not changes to how they look or function when you activate them."
Sigzil says, "I have runners at my disposal if your coin is not in your hands."
Notes
Premium Alteration Session 5/30/2021:
Sigzil says, "I will not change how your focus looks when you activate it, just how it appears when you look at it."
Sigzil says, "If you have a mundane item, I can turn it into a new ritual focus. The base item must not have any other enchantments."
OOC: The base item must not be scripted or enchanted.
Sigzil says, "I can also change the frequency of mana to which your ritual focus is attuned (150 plats for universal or 50 plats for a specific realm)."
Sigzil says, "With the exception of universal ritual foci creation (150 plats), the base fee for all other services is 50 plats."
Sigzil says, "If you want me to create a new ritual focus and change the item's appearance, you must pay both fees (50/150 for the enchantment and 50 for the appearance)."
Sigzil says, "If you want me to change both the mana frequency and appearance of a ritual focus, you must pay both fees (50/150 for the frequency change and 50 for the appearance)."
Sigzil says, "If you want me to add rare materials, you must provide the rare material, and you must pay 25 plats per material added."
Sigzil says, "You can give me the coin in person, or I can send a runner to the local bank."
Sigzil says, "As always, if it's a ritual focus that is a weapon, shield, or armor, the noun must remain as it is."
Sigzil says, "Now, if it's something worn, like an armband, the new noun must be roughly the same type of item. I could turn a necklace into a pendant but not into a bracelet."
OOC: Noun changes are not allowed for weapons or armor. For worn fluff, the new noun must be roughly synonymous with the current noun and make sense for the wear location. For non-worn items, that will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Sigzil says, "I cannot change the color of the light, just how the item looks (and the mana type for ritual foci)."
Sigzil says, "If you have a mundane item, I can turn it into a new ritual focus. The base item must not have any other enchantments."
OOC: The base item must not be scripted or enchanted.
