mechanical purple codling moth
Look: The forewings of the purple codling are lilac, crossed with deep chartreuse bands, and their tips have dark blue oval areas with brilliant gold markings. The hindwings are a more uniform pale periwinkle. The moth's extended wings just barely equal the distance between a Human's extended pinky and thumb.

A marvel of craftsmanship, the moth is wound by means of a shiny metal key. It looks to be in pristine condition.
