Shadows would drown the tiny room, were it not for the open doorway. Various ragged rugs have been spread haphazardly atop each other on the floor, and brightly dyed gauzy fabric drapes from the ceiling to soften the stone walls. Several rock pedestals are arranged in a semicircle on the carpets, each holding a silken scarf as backdrop for a piece of merchandise. In the darkest corner, the attendant unobtrusively sips tea between customers.
