Description: Since the advent of dispellation, mages have formulated a number of specialized spells that strike at various subsets of magic. The Rend spell eschews such discrimination, instead attempting to break down any two patterns it encounters upon its target -- or yourself.

This is a battle spell, intended to be prepared quickly and cast on a single target while in battle. When used on opponents, this spell pits your mind against your enemy's will. It can be cast without a target and on other adventurers. It requires a minimum of five mana streams, and can expand to a maximum of one hundred mana streams woven into it.

To begin to be able to cast this spell, you will need to reach the rank of a lowly novice. By the time you have mastered this spell, you will be ranked as a genius in your abilities as a caster. It requires the Debilitation and Utility skills to cast effectively.

Notes

  • Indiscriminately removes up to two spells at a time from the target, which can be yourself or another person.
  • A target must be specified or it will fail to dispel anything. This is in place to prevent accidental self-targeting if casting without a target or misspelling the target, or the target moves out of your room during the cast.
  • To self cast rend you must CAST <Your own name>
