Verbs

  • PAT: You pat your dove lightly on its head, but it sits there, preening its rust-covered metal feathers. The soft whirring sound coming from within the mechanical dove suddenly stops.
  • POKE: You poke the mechanical dove in its side and it tips off your hand. Halfway to the ground the mechanical dove's wings suddenly spread with a clink, and it glides to a gentle stop on the ground. With a sigh of relief, you bend over and gently pick up the small dove and hold it protectively for a few moments.
  • TAP: You tap the mechanical dove a few times on the back of its head, making it emit a soft whirring sound as it slowly begins pecking forward on your hand. As the dove gradually speeds up, the sound grows in a crescendo, until it reaches its top speed then starts slowing, eventually coming to a stop. Though the mechanical dove is still, a soft mechanical spinning sound can still be heard coming from within the metal body.
  • TOUCH:
                     "Chirp!"
"Chirp!" "Chirp!"
                                      "Chirp!"

Your mechanical dove emits some tinny chirps as you pet it, singing happily before becoming silent again.

  • TURN (no grass in room): A small mechanical dove flutters around as though it is looking for something.
  • TURN (grass in room): You turn the key in the back of the mechanical dove, and it slowly whirrs awake then flaps loudly down to the ground. It shuffles around, foraging, and picks up some of the grass it finds. The dove works with the grass then drops [ITEM] at your feet and with a metallic clink, flaps up to your hand. A small mechanical dove stutters, "A gift for you, Uz-Uz-Uzmam!"
