The full movement to being a Necromancer-with-a-capital-N is a bit more complicated and is incompatible with some of the supernatural forces other guilds use. For example, a Moon Mage could conceivably become a Necromancer-with-a-capital-N (in story terms, not actually in-game), but he would never be both at the same time. The moment his destiny aligns with the Necromancers, the Plane of Probability would abandon him. Empaths disappear. Paladins and Clerics have Fun, and so on. So possible, but it starts getting messy, complicated and more a matter of story logic than stringent rules.
