While close, I'll go a little bit further here.

When you get that message, a Social Corruption effect has ended on your character. Maybe. You hope. Sometimes it has, and there's a small chance you hoped wrong because we are mean people.

Necromancers, however, do not need a social corruption effect (like what's gotten from an accusation) to be socially corrupt. They can be innately socially corrupt, and if so that messaging means absolutely nothing and you'll get no hints as to when it's safe.
