Samples of stone and roofing materials are displayed for the customer to choose a preference. The earthen floor is packed hard, and a pleasant, homey smell of straw and baking bread wafts through the open doorway that leads to the resident's cottage. You also see the stonemason Swenser.

More samples of stone lie stacked in rows along the straw-strewn earthen floor, and different paneling materials are displayed along one wall of the barn. Sunlight shines from a high gabled window above to fall in patches across the interior. Marscern's younger brother, Mercelt, sits nearby ready to assist customers with their questions.
