However, this is not going to be perfect at the moment, so it is definitely possible that normal foraging may teach better in some cases, and careful in others. Both should be fairly close, though. At some point we need to redo foraging difficulties and experience completely. The current fix is primarily just to deal with a longstanding problem with being able to train the skill at all. It definitely needs more TLC. At that point it is likely that we'll redefine careful and precise a bit to make them more useful in and of themselves, rather than a workaround for rangers and empaths to learn a bit faster like they were before. - GM Dartenian
