The dusty token is commonly used to modify the appearance of a Moon Mage's shadow servant. Being such a mage with knowledge of the spell, you could INVOKE the dusty token to reshape the shadows that form your servant. The changes would take affect at its next summoning.

Were the dusty token to be activated, the following modifications to a servant would be made:

 Base Description: "a dusty parchment-grey Servant"
 Long Description: "a dusty parchment-grey Shadow Servant obscured in cryptic ink-black palimpsest"
 LOOK Description: "This roughly humanoid Shadow Servant has a dry, papery texture, its ashen form composed of shifting layers of parchment-grey darkness.  Stark, ink-black script crawls across its form in dense, overlapping layers of esoteric lettering, constantly rearranging over its torso and long, spindly arms.  The creature's mouth is a wide, flat line that peels open like an aged tome, revealing an ominously lightless interior, yet it maintains a quiet and scholarly docility as it waits for a command."

These are compatible with the scroll system for alterations. You must use this item as the base when you GET your scroll if you wish to have it altered.
