In terms of what you quoted, no. The entire idea of Transcendence is that it is a better form of immortality than Lichdom, otherwise there'd be no great movement to pursue it.

In terms of overall package, Transcendence and Lichdom will offer different things for different playstyles. I suspect (and desire) that Lichdom will be popular for sheer mechanical-mindedness.
