I agree with a lot of need to improve scouting, but there's a reason I capped HUNT at 6 rooms, because searching lots of rooms is extremely resource intensive. Perceive Health can see too many rooms at the absurd high end, if we had a whole host of people doing that it would likely be really, really bad. Anything that works by 'you are X rooms away from room Y' is probably not going to fly because verifying that = slow. Double slow if you have to look through portals. Just FYI.

Technically, Hunt does scale forever with ranks because you take increasingly bad penalties for finding hidden/invisible people rooms away, and the whole thing is a stealth contest anyway. So the utility improvement is on discovery of hidden, not range.
