Ryeka, Re: And here I thought he was dead... · on 7/31/2003

Yalleck was a mercenary- or he said he was- trying to capture and kill Karovaas. He was in command of the blue coated guys that were also indiscrimantly slaughterring bards- when they could. All around, he was a rather arrogant and nasty sort- and he himself said he was a gorbesh.

Matrina Re: And here I thought he was dead... · on 7/31/2003

Ryeka is correct, but to add more... Yalleck is an ArchMage, Coln was a Barb. The night we(Bards) lost our enchantes, Coln was indeed walked to the Starry Road. Yalleck and Karovaas repeatedly fought and had words, but on that night as well, Karovaas killed him and took back the music box that Yalleck had stolen from Karovaas. Inside the music box contains the Naga that controls bardic magic. Without that Naga, we have nothing. In the days before, we were slowly losing our enchantes as Yalleck's disruption of the box was causing it stress. Back in Karovaas's hands, He and the Naga have been re-building bardic magic. New things have been created, and some of the old lost. Yalleck swore that night that he was not finished. Many years ago, his grandfather was hired by Siryn to kill Karovaas. When Yalleck's granddaddy died, the blood contract went to him, and he's been waiting patiently for years to kill him. When we (some of us) releashed Karovaas from his imprisonment in the Haven guild, that made it open warfare on him again from all the people that hated him for his superior knowledge, being some bards and of course Yalleck. Coln was just Yalleck's lackey, he served his purpose and I don't think Yalleck cared if he walked or not. There are rumors/truths that Yalleck has a boss, and he in fact is just a lackey as well. As to what Yalleck is up to now..it's hard to say, but be careful when those crossbow weilding freaks of his show up.

My dear lady Tathlenia, [Sermont]

It seems to me that prior to correspondence you received previously that in fact the criminal Yalleck is still not dead. He, along with Grishnok and Wyren, took part in a full-scale assault on Arthe Dale just last evening. I was witnessed to events and saw as Yalleck attempted to assasinate one of Prince Vorclaf's guard, Zoranyl. If you happen to see Commander Kirew or the Ferdhal before I have a chance to come home, please alert them to this news. If they want to hear it from my own lips, I shall come with utmost haste. For now, I will remain in Zoluren and keep an eye on events here - for I fear what happens here will impact us all.

As always, your servant Anlise LightShadow, empath of Ilithi

I remind you of Yalleck's crimes against your home and people, in hopes that further damage from this man and his forces can be prevented. Yalleck has continued his attacks in the north against your honorable neighbors in Zourlen and Therengeria. Additionally, he has actively sought out the goblin assasin Grishnok for reasons unknown but undoubtedly nefarious.

In order that this criminal face your honorable justice I bring to your attention a contract

Yalleck claims in held by the Bank of Ilithi between his grandfather and the bardess Siryn, signed over three decades ago. In event that he completes this contract, the great funds will be placed in questable hands. While the honorable Bank of Ilithi may not wish to cancel the contract if it is indeed valid, your guardsmen should have the opportunity to apprehend the criminal Yalleck should he or a representative attempt to complete the contract...withholding funds until the justice has been upheld.
