Description: The Piercing Gaze spell allows you to look right through an object to see what's inside. The harder the object, the more difficult it is.
Example Messaging: You gesture.
The world around you brightens considerably.

You gesture at a small cat's eye quartz.
The cat's eye quartz is nearly prefect.

You gesture at <Name>.
Blech! Do you really want to know what <Name> had for breakfast?
Target sees:
<Mage> gestures at you.
<Mage> stares at you with a look of morbid fascination.

Notes

  • G'nar Pethians have an affinity for this spell giving them a min prep of 5. They also receive a duration bonus of approximately 4 minutes.
  • Self cast allows you to see through clouds, and removes Tezirah's Veil.
  • This spell was created by G'nar Pethians with the name Artificer's Eye, and is also a valuable aid in enchanting.
  • Can also be used to view the current quality of the gem and to see if it has been enhanced with Clarify Gem.
