Leather armor is by far the most popular and widely used armor. Known for its annoyingly high base hindrance, its absurdly high cost for a decent set, and just plain bad protection, why does anyone use it? 4 reasons. Paladins, Thieves, Rangers and Barbarians can all train leather to 0% hindrance. Thats it. If you aren't one of them, then your wasting your time except to use leather accessories for TDPs. Tanned masks are especially good to supplementing chain helmets that lack eye protection.
