A pronged trapezoid statuette used by Andraethu to further his powers of stealing souls, particularly those of children. Like Penelope's music box, the trapezoid was believed by some to be a Deceiver, causing insanity at the touch of a mortal. Andraethu succumbed to its power, and went on a rampage of murder, fulfilling parts of the Prophecy of the Wraith.

However, the statuette was itself designed by Erzebet Crowther to be a kind of key to the hiding place of one of the pieces of the Deceiver artifact. A key that was also a trap. As a side effect, the trapezoid would drive its wielder eventually mad. This was intended to try and derail any attempt to recover the three pieces of the Artifact.
