Scout Awareness utilizes a Ranger's scouting and appraisal skills to determine their ability to perform certain stealthy actions on an opponent.
Notes
- Paladins and Thieves can sense when they are scouted also might see it was you even in hiding and receive the same messaging as when they are marked by a Thief: You get a strange sense of unease as if someone was sizing you up.
- It's similar to appraising and teaches appraisal.
- Dead or unconcious critters/PCs scout at 0 perception.
Messaging
Messaging is in order of easiest to hardest.
HIDE:
- you are a forest wraith amongst the trees.
- you are as a cunning arzumos near its prey.
- you could evade his untrained eyes.
- it's around even odds.
- you cannot shake his watchful eyes
- an owl's wisdom of her surroundings protects her.
- eyes like a great eagle would see through any charade of stealth.
STALK:
- you are the jaguar that lurks for its opportunity to strike.
- you slink like a hunting cat.
- you could evade his untrained eyes.
- it's around even odds.
- you cannot shake his watchful eyes.
- a fox's cunning lies within your foe.
- the senses of a hawk will defy your abilities.
APPRAISALS:
- You feel highly confident in the accuracy of your judgement.
- You feel somewhat confident in the accuracy of your judgement.
- You are somewhat uncertain of the accuracy of your judgement.
- You have no idea what you're doing and feel like you just made wild guesses.
