Aquariums are a catch-all term for a type of atmospheric housing item that provide additional messaging for player homes. They come in several forms:

  • aquarium - contains four water dwelling creatures, and some marine plants. Types of creatures typically include fish, amphibians, crustaceans, and mollusc.
  • fishbowl - similar to an aquarium but contains only a single water dwelling creature instead of four.
  • terrarium - contains four land dwelling creatures, and some plants. Creatures typically include reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and insects.
  • tank - similar to a terrarium but contains only a single land dwelling creature instead of four.

Use

Every time an aquarium is LOOKED at, a random messaging about one of the creatures and/or plants is shown.

Aquariums will also periodically output a random message to the room if the aquarium is looked at while placed on a surface in a player home. It only needs to be looked at once in order to turn on the atmospheric messaging, however it must be looked at again every time the house is reloaded or the aquarium is removed and replaced on a surface in order to reactivate the atmospherics. Multiple aquariums in a home will prevent the atmospherics from working.

Tapping the aquarium will turn off the atmospheric messages.

Dropping an aquarium will cause it to shatter into pieces and be lost.
