Flexing mini-boss found in the southwest corner of Sleeping Dragon Corn Maze. Gives 20 kernels when killed.
Description
Alive: Dressed in tattered black rags that drape over him like a voluminous cloak and with twisted gnarled roots making up his limbs, the Scarecrow stands with arms outstretched. In place of a face is a tattered burlap bag, with an unnatural orange fire lighting up his hollow eyes. His face is covered with a painted on grin, and the large straw hat on his head only serves to make him appear more sinister.
Dead: The Scarecrow is little more than a lumpy black cloak covered in bits of straw.
Recall
The origins of the Scarecrow are a mystery. It's fairly obvious that the creature is steeped in magic of the darkest kind.
However, subtle hints here and there indicate that the Scarecrow may not be all that it appears.
Occasional writhing from the Scarecrow indicates that there may be something living inside.
Special Attack
The Scarecrow raises its branchlike arms and its eyes flare with a terrible orange color. A wave of nightmarish light washes over the area and everyone in it, building with an unnatural scream! (Note: Reduces concentration if successful.)
Death
The Scarecrow collapses to the ground, its tattered robe fluttering as it falls, and the burlap sack that comprises its head splits open, revealing nothing but straw inside.
Decay
As the magic fades from the Scarecrow's voluminous form, three Halflings, who were apparently standing on each other's shoulders, crawl out of the robe and then run away laughing.
Spawn Message
You hear sinister laughter as the Scarecrow invades the Corn Maze!
