Death Messaging: A sand sprite slowly falls to the ground, moaning in despair, shuddering in pain before taking her last breath.
Sand sprites will advance on you extremely quickly (skipping pole range).
Special Attacks
Casts Tingle.
The sand sprite grabs a handful of sand and gestures at it, charging it with electrical energy!
Giggling childishly the sand sprite throws the sparkling sand towards you!
Note: This is easily resisted if you are fighting them at-circle.
Training
Sand Sprites are excellent for learning combat skills and Locksmithing, making them a popular rung on the training ladder. In addition, they are found just two rooms away from a city (Ratha) and they have a phenomenal spawn rate.
Equipment/Loot
- Boxes require a minimum of roughly 40 ranks of Locksmithing, with 65 being about "on level." Expect an average of 1,500 lirum per box, but rare jackpot boxes are possible. Example:
In the driftwood strongbox you see a large clear diamond, a huge yellow diamond, some copper coins, some bronze coins, a silver coin, some gold coins, some platinum coins, a huge russet sapphire, a huge lilac opal, a huge smoky clear star-stone, a huge moss-green emerald, and a huge yellow-green alexandrite.
Total net worth was 5 plat in coin and 35 plat in gems.
- 40 rank "minimum" in locksmithing means that you will still frequently fail to disarm these boxes, and encounter difficulty in opening them.
