A damp, musty scent wafts upward from barrels spread around the room's perimeter and drifts from the back room of the shed. Shelves running around the shop hold containers of powdered and liquid dyes. A glass cabinet displays information about several types of paper made on the premises. Amidst the clutter, a clean marble counter holds today's selection of fine handmade paper. You also see a door.

You rummage through a glass cabinet and see a sheet of tissue colored in a harlequin pattern, an open book, a deckle-edged sheet of rainbow colored paper and a sheet of ivory paper interspersed with golden threads.

Bold black printing fills the dusty page that is visible.
There appears to be something written on it.

An open book reads:
The mulberry tree seeds were brought with the founders of Siksraja from their homeland. Careful planting and cultivation ensured that the trees prospered and so we are able to continue our ancient art. We harvest the bark of the tree, shred it, soak it, boil it, wash it, and mash it again before adding it to fresh water. Screens are then dipped into the solution, catching the fibers which are then pressed between grates to dry. The addition of color and textures are the mark of the creating artist.
