Armure

A heavy fabric woven with a small interlaced chainmail-like design. Though the material is currently a very light grey, the threads look like they would hold any color of dye.

Bloodlace

This lace has a silvery sheen that remains no matter what color it's dyed, and is delicate to the touch. It gets its name from its curing technique, which involves soaking it in blood to improve its texture.
LOOK: Spun from silken fibers, the thread has an almost translucent quality with a silvery sheen that remains no matter what color it's dyed. When tatted, the medium weight lace is exceptionally soft and appears delicate but tugging shows it's very durable.
Must be provided for alterations.

Bluefire Velvet

This is a weaving technique where very fine blue and silver metallic threads are used in the fabric's warp to cause blue lightning to run across its surface when the light hits it.
LOOK: This exquisite and luxurious medium weight cloth is a silken weave with metallic threads in shades of bright blue and silver used sparingly in the warp. When the light hits the fabric just right, the metal's reflection causes an illusion resembling Huldah's flaming, blue lightning crackling across its surface.
Must be provided for alterations.

Dragonfire Brocade

Look: This exquisite cloth is woven from soft, lustrous thread, the layers of fluffy fibers creating a heavy weight textile that rivals the fine silk. During the weaving process, yellow and red gold metallic threads are added to the warp to create a low-relief pattern of leaping flames that are highlighted when hit by any light.

Duchess Satin

Shiny, heavy and luxurious. It is known for its smooth texture and elegant low-gloss sheen. It has a very high thread count that makes it stiffer, fuller, heavier and less likely to wrinkle then an ordinary silk.

[Items with duchess satin]

Elothean silk

Extremely fine and light, and is made from special Elothean-bred silkworms that only eat lotus leaves (or blossoms?) that only a few Elothean artisans know the full process for creating.

Elven silk

Quote Abasha: "Elves make it."
According to one GM working on alteration scrolls, Elven silk is "not sheer, kind of heavy."
This material must be provided for alterations.

Elven Snowlace

Snowlace gets its name from the fiber used to make the lace, which is spun from the hair of snowbeasts, a technique created by the Mountain Elves. The thread is very fine and difficult to work with but creates a lace that is durable despite its extremely delicate appearance.
LOOK: Spun from fibers, which can only be collected on Mountain Elf lands, the thread is very fine and lustrous. Appearing to be extremely difficult to work with, the gossamer strands create a lace that is durable despite its extremely delicate appearance.
Must be provided for alterations.

Elven Wool

The soft, finely textured wool is both lightweight and strong.
Required for alterations.

Fae woven silk

A diaphanous spidersilk handwoven by the Fae themselves. Note: also called Fae-spun silk and Fae-woven silk.
This material must be provided for alterations.

Firesilk

A fabric containing red silk threads that cause the fabric to shimmer with red fire as the light catches it.
Does not have to be provided for alterations, but the LOOK of the item must contain "a soft, clingy fabric" and "with vibrant scarlet threads in the warp, giving the material a fiery shimmer as it moves".

Goldweave

A heavy, lustrous fabric made up of real gold spun together with a golden-hued thread for support. These threads are woven together with a very fine white linen, resulting in a vague mirror effect.

Ialalhe

Deep red ialalhe
Crushed ruby dust is woven into the thin fabric itself, giving it a beautiful sheen that plays well with any amount of light. The sparkling dust seems to naturally cluster at the crossweave and edges of the finished fabric, giving it a bit of highlight.

Imperial Weave

A relic of a long gone age, Imperial weave is everything a fabric could aspire to; durable, light weight, and resistant to dirt and rot, which is fortunate given that the methods of creation have long since been lost and the only supply comes from scraps found in long forgotten ruins of the Seven Star Empire. One of the greatest treasures found in Throne City during its reclamation was an entire storehouse filled with the cloth, though the horde was quickly claimed and concealed by the Moon Mage Guild. The cloth has been found in a wide variety of colors and patterns, though the few people brave enough to try to bleach or dye it have had no success.
Introduced at Hollow Eve Festival 406

Khiynit

A type of gossamer silk that is harvested from the sand spiders of the Velaka, with great difficulty, by weavers within that region. The spiders are fed on a diet of yeehar blood laced with fiber from the iroepi root and hhyssk'et berry. The silk has a rough texture, and only comes in desert hues. Very strong and malleable.
Introduced by Hhtuassa, and is currently the only merchant working with it. She only works for S'Kra Murs.

Lava Samite

A weave technique, yellow and red gold metal threads used in the warp to give it the appearance of streams of molten lava.
LOOK: This exquisite and luxurious medium weight cloth is a silk weave with metallic threads in various shades of yellow and red gold used in the warp. Must be provided for alterations.

Marblesilk

Shadesatin

Shadesatin is a type of satin that has a very high thread count and is difficult to make because it's spun from very fine threads of silver to make a high gloss sheen. It holds color well and is called shadesatin because it tends to create shadows in the fabric depending on the light in the area.
