A magebound grimoire is a special book which serves as a container that can hold writing papers. It also features a magical lock, and solving the puzzle to open the lock can teach the Attunement skill on a cooldown.

TODO: Auction tier grimoire has a 30 minute cooldown, what about end loot ones?

Lock

Activating the Lock

To activate the lock you need to TOUCH the grimoire:

You run your palm over <grimoire> you are holding, the lock-symbols scribed across it activate with a shimmer. You sense the binding is now attuned to you and will not work for another until it is opened or the magic fades on its own.
Roundtime: 4 sec.

Once it is activated, the following is added when you LOOK at it. The orders of the symbols will be different each time.

You notice that the top left, top right, lower left, lower right, and the spine all are each scribed with a shadowy black reference mark and a faintly glowing lock-symbol.

Shadowy black reference marks read: silver ~ bulwark ~ demon ~ gold ~ void
Faintly glowing lock-symbols read: gold ~ void ~ silver ~ demon ~ bulwark

The top left lock-symbol is slightly brighter than the others.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Unlocking

Your goal now is to get the lock-symbols to match the reference marks.

You can NUDGE the grimoire to change which symbol you are interacting with:

You nudge the dim marking on the top right of your magebound grimoire so that it brightens enough to see the gold symbol clearly depicted.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

In order they are: top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right, and the spine.

If you TRACE or SCRIBE it will change the symbol on the currently selected section:

You trace the luminous marking on the top left of your magebound grimoire, causing it to flicker and morph into the silver symbol.
Roundtime: 2 sec.
You scribe the edges of the luminous marking on the bottom right of your magebound grimoire, causing it to fade and reappear as the void symbol.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

TODO: What is the difference between these two?

If you POKE the grimoire, it seems to randomly reset the lock symbols:

You poke at your magebound grimoire, jabbing your finger into the cover and making its lock-symbols go shiver, then reappear as something else entirely.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Once all the symbols are aligned properly, you can OPEN the grimoire. This will unlock it, tank your mana, and mindlock you in the Attunement skill.

All of the five lock-symbols on your magebound grimoire flare brighter for just a moment before going dark, and the grimoire springs open. At same time, you feel wild ripping sensation as you pay a magical price for your success.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Failure

If you do not have the correct pattern when attempting to OPEN, the spell pattern will disable and you will need to start over:

To your dismay, you realize you have not aligned a sufficient number of lock-symbols to facilitate the sacrifice needed to spring the magical binding securing <grimoire>.

If the grimoire is recharging when you try to TOUCH it:

You run your palm over <grimoire> you are holding, the lock-symbols scribed across it remaining dark and unresponsive, needing more time to reform.

Item Storage

A magebound grimoire will only allow certain items to put into it. They must be writing paper, such as the types sold at mail shops.
