Small and spindly, the moltspun boggle is a member of the Fae, its body composed seemingly of bits of animal discard. Tufts of fur, transparent scales, some teeth, and a couple shed antler pieces compose this bizarre humanoid-shaped entity. The moltspun boggle is continually on the lookout for more material to add to its body and has been observed sneaking up to woodland creatures of any size and grabbing fistfuls of fur before beating a hasty retreat. Description
To their credit, they are quite nimble -- the only real defense they have against the consequences of their mischief.
Recall
It is unclear if these creatures are a product of Idon's whims or errant Fae magics, but they do appear to have fit themselves into a strange ecological niche of gathering up animal discards. They are considered little more than a nuisance, as their thievery targets of choice are "things about to fall off an animal or plant anyway". Adventurers have been advised to wear their hair under a cloak or otherwise hidden, and to ensure that their clothing is free of frayed edges.
Curiously, none have been observed incorporating living material into their bodies. Whether a preference or limitation of their ability to gather, the moltspun boggle appears to only desire sheds or molts of any type.
Notes
When their legs are destroyed, these boggles can try to repair them, and observing it will teach some First Aid at below 50 ranks.
Example: Growling to itself, a moltspun boggle grabs a nearby stick and begins to mend its right leg.
