I will not convolute the combo system because people find they do not need them when they underhunt :P Once bosses start spawning even people underhunting will find benefit from them at times. Veterans will have 4x the normal hit points and have a decent to-hit bonus.

If you are killing things too quickly use the single-attack tactics moves and not combos. It is like asking for your single target TM spells to hit everything in the room if your target is weaker than you, or for your sword swings to gain Point Blank Area Effect qualities if you cleave something weak. Those exist in the game, but as different abilities.

Expertise and Endurance will focus on self-combos. Things you as a player must do in order to get a bonus. Generally they'll be small self bufs and also involve finishing moves that are fun to see and bonus Soul state and Inner fire. I'd also like to see one self-combo for everyone that is just a basic finishing move and pulls from a list of devestatingly evil ways to slice and dice your opponent.

Tactics is just going to be a big system and it will take time to develop.
