Stalking skill was merged with Hiding skill to become the new Stealth skill as part of the DR 3.0 conversion which occurred in January 2013. Note that while the skill no longer exists, the training methods and systems described below may still be valid.
The Stalking skill is used to follow without being seen. Trained by positioning yourself to stalk a creature of suitable level for you. Also trainable with the HUNT command.
Stalking is also trained by advancing on a critter while in hiding. Their ability to see you (and thus point you out.) is based on their perception skill vs. your stalking. Significant bonuses are applied to the critter as you get closer.
