Description

A towering humanoid figure, the frost troll is covered in a layer of icy snow and armored with jagged plates of frost-laden ice. Its angular features and piercing, soulless eyes give it a menacing appearance, while its frosty breath swirls about its head. The troll's build is surprisingly lithe, hinting at formidable combat prowess. It moves with a predatory grace, as if always ready to strike. At any moment, the troll could disperse into a whirling funnel of ice and snow, only to reform elsewhere in the area.

Recall

The trolls proudly claim allegiance to a "master", but none of the rumors to who or what that is have proven credible yet. Other rumors insist they were imbued with shapeshifting magics as otherwise mundane-appearing snowdrifts frequently come to life as one of these vicious monsters!

The frost trolls are known to cast the Veil of Ice, Frostbite, Ice Patch, and Devitalize spells.

They are known to carry loot in locked boxes.

Special Attacks

If not killed quickly enough, the trolls can shatter into shards of ice:

A frost troll begins to whirl around with ever increasing speed.  A small vortex begins to form within its chest.  Suddenly, its body completely breaks apart!  Snow sprays into the air, while razor-sharp shards of ice are hurled through the air in all directions!
You easily evade the razor-sharp ice shards hurtling towards you!

The troll will turn into some shattered shards in the room, and after a time will transform back into a fully healed troll:

Shattered shards of ice begin to slide toward one another as if alive.
Hundreds of ice shards are swept together into a whirling funnel of wind and snow and ice that coalesces into a frost troll!

Seems to have some sort of special stealth ability:

A frost troll sinks into the ground and vanishes from sight.

The ground rumbles as something moves beneath the snow and closes rapidly on you!

The ground rumbles as something moves beneath the snow, arriving from the southwest and heading towards you.

The ground rumbles as something moves beneath the snow, circling around you.

Special Defenses

Immune to Cold damage and all poisons.

According to the release post, they can be healed by cold magic.

Immediately escape webs:
