Damp Cave
[Corroded Corner, Damp Cave]
Barnacle-encrusted pilings flank the exit of this cave, supporting a waterlogged expanse of ship hull used as decoration. Moisture clings to the uneven surface of the cavern walls, trickling down occasionally to gather in small pools on the rough stone floor. A large sign hangs over the counter while a banded oak barrel sits just to the side. On the opposite wall rests a massive iron anchor, weathered and clearly having seen better days.
You also see a darkly stained oak stand under the anchor with several things on it and a prominent table in the center of the chamber with a glass brigantine sculpture riding cobalt glass waves on it.
Obvious exits: none.
A prominent sign reads: These treasures were recovered from several dangerous excursions to the deepest parts of the seas at great expense. The prices on these items reflect these incursions. We have attempted to clean everything to the best of our ability without compromising their integrity. We do not assure quality and there are no refunds. Items may still have some moisture but that should clear up in time. The sculpture is not for sale. |

a glass brigantine sculpture - More than a foot in length, the glass ship rests atop curled waves of cobalt blue glass. The hull of the boat contains an amber tint, mimicking the wood of a genuine brigantine. Thin glass rods mounted to the boat support stiffened canvas sails as well as a woven glass crow's nest at the top of the foremast. An engraved silver plaque, nearly obscured by waves, identifies the ship. A silver plaque reads:"A.G.S. Hoefert". ATMO: The brigantine seesaws forward on its glassy waves, supported by springs nearly hidden between the glass. It continues to sway for a few moments before stopping, as if controlled by an unseen hand. | Not for sale |
