| Renzar is correct. It's not meant to refer to the shadow creatures but rather specifically your shadow. I'm not sure if it made the release version, but the original intention was that while the spell was in effect, your character's LOOK would be modified to mention that you aren't casting a shadow.
In either event, the terminology and symbolism [of Sovereign Destiny] is meant to be more a play off Tezirah's Veil. One "produces shadows," the other "produces light," in the metaphoric sense. | |
