Awaken
Leave light or deep sleep and resume normal field experience gain and drain. It wakes you from either depth of sleep in one step, and is harmless to repeat when you are already awake.
AWAKEN

You see: You awaken from your reverie and begin to take in the world around you (You will now begin to gain new experience again).

AWAKEN (already awake)
You see: But you are not sleeping!

Syntax

  • AWAKEN
Return to a state in which you both gain and drain field experience.
  • AWAKEN HELP
Display the in-game helpfile for the command.

Usage

SLEEP cycles through three states, and AWAKEN is the shortcut out of any of them. From light sleep or deep sleep alike, one AWAKEN returns you to normal gain and drain.[1] SLEEP also wakes you, but only from deep sleep — from light sleep it takes you deeper instead, which is why scripts that need a known state use AWAKEN rather than another SLEEP.

The command is idempotent: running it while already awake reports that you are not sleeping and changes nothing.

Notes

  • Nobody else in the room sees anything when you use the command.
  • There is no roundtime.
  • The experience window's sleep line updates on experience pulses rather than immediately, so it can briefly still show you as resting after you have woken up.
