| Tactical combat maneuver that drops you into a smaller target without attacking. It is the cheapest way to build balance, trains Tactics, and restores a small amount of fatigue. |
| Unknown |
The BOB command is a non-damaging tactical maneuver, most often used to hold balance and position while dancing with a creature. It is very balance building and, alone among the maneuvers, restores fatigue rather than spending it, which makes it the one tactical maneuver you can repeat indefinitely at no cost.
Syntax
- BOB
- Bob against the enemy you are facing.
- BOB <target>
- Bob against the indicated enemy.
Detailed Information
Bob is a tactical maneuver.
Bob tends to be a barely fatiguing maneuver. Attacking again too soon can make this worse.
Bob tends to be very balance building.
Bob is a reasonably paced maneuver, but heavy or unbalanced weapons can slow the attack further.
Bob is more accurate than most maneuvers, and is equally suited to puncture, slice, and impact weapons.
Bob temporarily penalizes all defenses, but is best suited for evasion defenses and least suited for shield defenses.
Fatigue Regeneration
Bobbing restores a small amount of fatigue each time it is used, so a long dance can be sustained by working BOB into the rotation rather than resting out of combat.
"folks seem to be... forgetting that BOB should regenerate some fatigue and teach tactics." -DR-KODIUS, 1/22/2013
Notes
- CIRCLE, BOB, WEAVE and DODGE make a low-risk rotation for keeping balance and position up while a creature works your defenses. Depending on your skill against what you are fighting, letting balance or position slip can get you hurt quickly.
- Bob cannot be used while grappled.
