Sandstone floors have been rubbed smooth and lightly polished to a soft, rosy glow, then covered with a luxurious scatter of thick carpets patterned in a white-on-white arabesque motif. Light glints off the glass fronts of tall rosewood cabinets filled with rows of velvet-lined shelves holding an array of precious and semiprecious gemstones, and a long table that is covered with a length of white linen is scattered with magnifying lenses, forceps, and other tools of the gembuyer's trade. You also see Mhasulri and a lapis-edged door.
