Earlier this Morning:
[The Great Tower, Sentinel's Office] Three gleaming desks create an open-ended rectangle here, one for each of the patrol leaders of Shard. A glass display case holds the names of the criminals foolish enough to have attracted the attention of the elite watchmen of the city. A painting of the Ferdahl hangs over the doorway, some words written in gold ink beneath her face on the frame. You also see a steel-braced door and a short hallway leading to the Chamber of Justice. Obvious exits: out.
A cord draft suddenly blows into the Sentinel's Office.
A lethargic shadow servant just arrived!

Dear Sentinel's of Ilithi,
Last eve I visited the Keep in the city of the Crossings to listen to our Ambassador's address to Prince Vorclaf. After hearing Prince Vorclaf's decision to send a messenger of his own to Ilithi, I decided to follow him fearing an assault by the Dragon Priests. I was most correct, my Moon Mage training must be working... We meet Zealots and Priests near the Gondola, whereas I promptly removed several of their limbs, and then again in and around our own Great Tower. After doing some scouting, I learned that a certain S'kra by the name of Vhess was, if not leading the assault, assisting the Zealots. Knowing that aiding and abiding anyone of the Dragon's Cult carries with it the penalty of death in Ilithi I moved to stop him, and his assistant Ssdivious, from doing any more damage. Unfortunately, the Sentinel's decided that they would rather arrest a citizen of Ilithi rather than a conspirator of the Zealots. I am most upset that I have been arrested and charged with assault in my own province for defending it. I hope this letter finds its way to the Sentinel's Commander and this problem is rectified.
Servant of Ilithi, Feklar Hocknora Diamond Street, Shard
P.S
Please note that one or more of the guards of Rayth, the messenger from Vorclaf, was also arrested and charged for doing his duty to his Prince.

Category Events and Happenings (29) Topic Events in General (1) Message Stuff from Zoluren to Ilithi (Summary) (5795) By BRETTH from PLAY.NET On Oct 1, 2001 at 17:40
Of course, this is all from my point of view, and I know I missed a lot of what was going on. So if people have other bits to add, please do.
My character Rayth was asked to act as the Prince's Ambassador to Ilithi, in response to the ones that the Ferdahl sent to Zoluren. The main issue was the new attacks of the Dragon Priests. Guard Sybina was assigned to keep my character breathing.
So, we pretty much ran down to Shard (in the rain, and in court garb, I might add!)since time seemed of the essence. On the route to the city, south of the gondola, we were attacked by Dragon Priests. Since our goal was to talk to the Ferdahl and be ambassadors, we blew past them and managed to keep healthy until we reached the tower in Shard. We waited for the Ferdahl, but in that time, the Dragon Priests attacked us repeatedly in the tower and gardens.
One of them, named Vhess, tried to drag my character off but wasn't too successful, although I kept my avoids off to keep it more interesting. Finally, Sybina was gassed and carried off before we could stop them.
We started sending out groups to look for her, since by Locate we could tell she was in a damp cellar. To my knowledge, she still hasn't been found.
My character did get a chance to pass along the Prince's message of support to the Ferdahl, who was upset at the attacks in her city. She also pledged the aid of her 'Hunter' to find Sybina. Haven't met her Hunter, so I can't much more than that about him/her.
The Ferdahl retired, and those of us who had made the trip with no armor and weapons went to the carousel to have the things transported, since the fighting had quieted down.
During that time, Blasword had a DP Zealot 'captured' by brawling with it. We attempted to interrogate it, but Odiin made sure to kill it before it said anything useful.
Many groups were out searching for Sybina, but about the time I started waiting for my character's things to come from Zoluren, I was hit with bad lag, screen freezes, and occasional ghosting/punting. Although I managed to deal with it through another hour of searching, I finally had to give up and say my character was tired, since I was having a hard time making him function.
That's about it so far. Doesn't sound like the situation is over.

Topic Mer'Kresh and M'Riss (11) By VALTIES from PLAY.NET (War Priestess of Meraud) On Sep 9, 2002 at 23:41 Subject Rumors...and clearing them up (687)
We were in Ratha when I first heard his gweths. A captian and a S'kra exchanging words in a tone that displayed anything but friendship. The Capt's name was Jance and the S'kra would be Vhess. Vhess was looking for a guide. He had travled to see Forlorn's hope to clear up some rumors.
I figured I was on my way, and Forlorn's hope was open to all that had to skill to enter it, so I offered my hand as a guide to em. Its better to walk closely with any potential trouble I always say. Least I would know what this battle scared S'kra was up to. Vhess is a mercenary. He sold his sword to Sskivreis. His reasoning was she treated him as an individual and not as a freak as so many others have.
So, onward to M'riss we went. Vhess had paid Jance to take him to M'riss. Just as Vhess sold his sword.... I saw an odd parrelel with Janceofferning his services for coin.
We made it to M'riss and to Forlorn's hope we went. Vhess wished to see the parchments written by a group who sold their sword long ago. The air disturbed things that layed dorment for years.... a stench grew foul in the air. I knew this was not right.
Sure enough we were attacked by black spirits carrying crossbows. AS soon as they came, they left with no sign a short while later. After things settled down I went back in and had a look around. Nothing.... as if they were never there.
Before Jance left we spoke to him a while back at Deeper's Tavern. Over a few drinks of rum and avoiding the brawling halflings Jance told us he suspected Sskivreis hired Vhess to explore Forlorn's hope for more personal matters. Something about the S'kra race in general over being a dragon priests. Anyways.. that's about it. It was an interesting little picnic to say the least. I suspect we will see more of this Vhess and perhaps some undead. Be careful when entering Forlorn's Hope and may Meraud watch over you.
