I realize this was mentioned some time ago, but plans change and I am not actively developing such an ability. We ran into the same problem trying to justify it - what skill would it use? How could it be balanced?


Better to just fix Whirlwind and add the Dervish ability, and give Barbarian some new toys to use with Expertise - than trying to climb that mountain...

I a perfectly balanced game, NMUs would have their own abilities to offset the advantage provided by TM. I believe Barbarians are there. They have roars, Anti-Magic abilities and Expertise maneuvers coming that more than make up for the lack of a second means of dealing damage.

Thieves will likely close the gap with their new release. Traders with their magic.

TM should be easier to use with these changes due to the damage adjustments. Specifically at the low end TM should do less, and at the high end it should do more. This will fix STRA mauling things from circles 1-20, and fix instances of spells doing nothing in high-circle PvP.
