blackened bone skullcap
Look: The skull of a large beast has been trimmed to fit the top of a humanoid head. The bone has been blackened with stain and sealed with dull shellac, causing the armor to almost disappear into its own shadow. Holes allow for the attachment of a mask and aventail.
