Animal Lore used to be unique to the Rangers, but now it is trainable by all. Although it is under the Lore skillset, it is counted as a primary skill for Rangers. It is currently primarily used for dealing with Ranger companions and horses.
There are a number of ways to train Animal Lore:
- Feeding, signaling, and releasing Ranger companions.
- Instructing horses/caravans.
- Tending parasites (bloodworms, leeches, etc.)
- Catching fish.
- Animal Lore is a teachable skill.
