Skill and stat buffs can now reach a 30% cap, up from 20%, only achievable by multiple different abilities used by different people. In other words, self-cast buffs will stack with buffs from others. Free-to-play characters can benefit from this new cap, but not contribute to it. Note that only guild abilities count for this purpose; skill/stat bonusing items will not.

Also, the Team Player and Group Support magic feats have been retired. Their intended effects are now baseline.

==Buff stacking mechanics==

When the effects of multiple buffs of the same type do not stack, the most powerful effect for that type takes effect. When the effects of multiple buffs of the same type do stack, their effects are added together to a maximum bonus of 150% of the normal cap. For stat and skill buffs, this expands the cap from a 20% bonus to a 30% bonus. 
: Note: Many buffs can be recast at lower mana to refresh the duration of the buff. When this occurs, the new effect replaces the old effect, even if it is less of a bonus.

==When do buffs stack?==

The effects of buffs stack when all of the following criteria are met

* There are multiple effects on a player that buff the same skill, stat, or other bonus
* The buffs are not the same ability
* Each source of each buff for the skill, stat, or other bonus in question is on a different subscribed account

===Examples===

Assume all characters in the below examples are paid accounts for the sake of simplicity, but keep in mind: Free-to-play characters can benefit from this new cap, but not contribute to it. Meaning if a paid player were cast an ability on a F2P character, it could stack. The reverse, however, would not be true.

* Bob casts [[shadows]] on himself at half power. Sue casts [[shadows]] on Bob at half power. Bob has a [[stealth]] bonus of 11% because Sue's cast of [[shadows]] replaced Bob's cast.
* Bob invokes some {{ilink|i|nightsilk assassin's slippers}} for an 11% bonus to his [[stealth]] via the [[shadows]] spell. Sue casts [[Rising Mists]] in the room with Bob at Full power. Bob now has a 30% bonus to his [[stealth]] skill.
* Bob casts [[vigor]] on himself. He has a 5% bonus to both [[strength]] and [[agility]] from his cast. Sue casts [[Heroic Strength]] with Bob in her group. She now has a 10% bonus to [[strength]] and [[stamina]] from her cast. Bob now has a 15% bonus to his [[strength]] because of the combined effect with Sue's [[Heroic Strength]] cast, a 5% bonus to [[agility]] from his own cast of [[vigor]], and a 10% bonus to his [[stamina]] from Sue's cast of [[Heroic Strength]]
* Bob casts [[Aegis of Granite]] on himself for a 20% bonus to his [[strength]] and [[stamina]]. Bob then uses a {{ilink|i|sturdy ironwood wand wrapped in braided lengths of sinew}} which casts [[Heroic Strength]] on him. Bob only has a 20% bonus to his [[strength]] and [[stamina]] from his cast of [[Aegis of Granite]], which does not stack with the less powerful [[strength]] and [[stamina]] buffs from the [[Heroic Strength]] casting item.
