Introduced to Ilithi's markets by the reclusive artisan Saerith Valeweft, along with nightfrost linen, this dense hide is frost-cured in high alpine winds, a process that tightens the grain and subtly silvers its storm-dark surface. Valeweft commonly fashioned the leather into garments and accessories that emphasize disciplined silhouettes and clean lines, often edging pieces in a narrow frostline binding (frost-pale tracing) that reinforces the stark aesthetic associated with the creator's original designs. Only skilled leatherworkers are able to perfect a frostline binding.

Common Description

A matte, resilient leather in shades of charcoal, blue-black, or iron-grey, with a structured firmness that remains supple enough for tailored wear. The surface shows faint pale streaking within the grain, evocative of wind-scoured snow across stone, and carries a subtly silvered, storm-dark appearance with a durable, depth-rich finish.
