cured leather katavdar embossed with a coiled king snake
Look: The bark-tanned leather is pale gold in color and quite thick and stiff. The deceptively decorative edge frames the coiled serpent whose beady eyes are set with two tiny onyx chips. What appears at first glance to be a lacy edge is really the needle-sharp points of embedded ivory shards. A thin lining of steel extends from one edge to the other lending strength and a little weight.
