In Genie, script is not properly detecting that it's returned to the start location and therefore looping. Starting location variable seems to be saved okay.

I wouldn't expect the script to function correctly in Genie, since it is written for StormFront according to the infobox. There are enough scripting differences between the two front ends that a SF script will not work 100% correctly in Genie without conversion unless it is an incredibly simple one. I would suggest checking the Genie forums for a translated version or someone to translate it if it doesn't already exist.--ABSOLON (talk) 13:13, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
Is there a mirror of the Genie conversion somewhere? whistlethis.com is dead.--KAMVENIENCE (talk) 16:10, 1 August 2014 (CDT)
Fixed with this code, courtesy of CunningRunt on Genie forums:
 SHOPCHECK1:
       var MRS shopcheck
       GOTO SHOPCHECK2

   SHOPCHECK:
       GOTO SHOP.%TravelOrShop
     SHOP.TRAVEL:
       var TravelOrShop shop
     SHOP.SHOP:
       match MOVEON.STARTLOC %startlocation
       put echo %storecode %item %update
       pause 1
   SHOPCHECK2:
       match MOVEON.HEALTH hand which appears completely useless
       match LEAVE nothing
       match GOODSHOP.%DropOrStow Time Development
       match MOVEON.EXP mind lock
       put echo %storecode %item %update
       send skill steal
       GOTO UniversalMatch

CityCode Error - Won't Find Me At Shop Or Bank In Crossing - Stormfront

When attempting to start this script, it gets caught in an infinite loop and will not locate me to even begin acting, as mentioned above. Despite applying the fix stated above, it still goes into this loop and fails to start. ...any chance the author could update it to work as intended? It says:

Unfortunately there has been an unrecoverable label error. Please
submit a bug report including a brief log of the circumstances
that produced this error. Version 1.57, %citycode%.-1.

I tried a few small changes, but it is clear that I don't understand the code as it was written/intended. There are soo many different versions of 'citycode', I have no idea which is the culprit. Kashna (talk) 13:57, June 19, 2016
