Talk:Manipulate ability
A few edits
Really nice article, I just made a few edits to wikify and increase accuracy and clarity. It's a slight overstatement to say that manipulated creatures defend the empath since they won't necessarily do anything or act on your behalf. The ability can also be used whether a creature is threatening you or not. --Farman 18:49, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Science & Caps
Can do both an elder and a ruby-crested adult gryphon at the same time reliably without concentration problems right around 680 empathy. --Zamara 00:00, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
- Going back through my logs it seems that two elders were successful around the same time. Still haven't hit a cap yet on them. --Zamara 01:21, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
2026 Notes on minimum to learn
I started a new empath and was unable to learn manipulate at level 1, with 10 ranks of Empathy, 199 total skills, and the following stat block: Strength : 15, Reflex : 12, Agility : 15, Charisma : 10, Discipline : 10, Wisdom : 10, Intelligence : 10, Stamina : 15, Concentration : 330 Max : 330.
Ranking to 11 in empathy (and nothing else) did not change that. Going up to level 2 (with 11 empathy) did not change that.
Will try walking up my levels. Suspect level 5/10 minimum.
