Moon Mage with 300 PM 340 PP 300 MD 260 Astrology skill 210 ]concentration makes a guide for Taniendar (Haven) to Marendin (Shard). The guide has 2 sanity protection (Xibar), 1 force (Yavash), 0 speed (Katamba)
Guide is "The gestalt mind is sane and will maintain its sanity under any stress. It reacts to its environment at a modest pace and can manipulate its environment only with exhaustive effort."
The Yavash mind for force may have been an angry mind, however. (mood states seem to matter, happier the better).
This guide allowed an empath with 230 concentration to BARELY travel between both shards, losing 20 concentration per room until the last room, losing 30 concentration.
- With 575 Arcana (or 560 at the time of creation), the Cradle would hold only 6 minds (2 destinations, 1 red happy, 1 blue excitement, 2 black contentment) Results in lucid with weak personality, manipulate with ease, and amazing speed.--Niaura 19:38, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
2 sanity minds (1 near sentient (anger) , 1 sentient (boredom)), 1 speed mind (near sentient, anger),
Rolagi (cold). 630 arcana. Still waiting for more minds to get up to near sentience.
The gestalt mind is sane and will maintain its sanity under any stress. It reacts to its environment at a modest pace and can manipulate its environment only with exhaustive effort.

Verbs
Niaura, guides themselves don't have those verbs. Have you actually tested them? Reene 16:40, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
You're right. Created a new page for Cradle of Moons and moved that info over there. Thanks.

Catalyzing
Anecdotlly, difficulty of the sigils scribed for catalyzing do seem to matter. 2 Ismelda sigils catalyzed the Astral guide.
Alternating between Sun and Yavash sigils, until finally at night time twice Estrilda, once Triquetra, once Heron, and maybe about 2 more high level sigils took about 20~30 scribes.
However, using Welkin, Shrike, and Penhetia completed the guide with only a total of 3 scribes.

My First Guide
Okay with 425 Arcana i got 5 Minds in. 2 destinations, 1 Black, 1 Red, 1 Blue. The messaging for not being able to add more minds in is "The (fingernail) resists your attempt. Its matrix is unable to accommodate more minds." For those that don't know once the Mind is in the Cradle it stops aging. My minds were all Sentient and put in then none early. The final is a Katamba Guide:
The gestalt mind is completely lucid and has a strong personality. It reacts to its environment quickly and can manipulate its environment with ease. Names are being whispered within the device: Rolagi and Erekinzil
This took 90 some sigils of Katamba to Catalyze and i got the following ending messaging:
and How i knew it was done: What once held a simple construct of energy now holds a single, waking mind.
The effort of creating an Astral Guide was incredibly taxing, you do not believe you will be able to do that again for many days.. ~ Dricila 4.17.2011
